OEM CLS 63 Wheels on w212 Fittment Help Please!
So I found a reasonably local seller looking to sell his OEM forged AMG 19" wheels with tires from his CLS 63.
I have a 2011 W212 E550 4matic with the 18" non staggered AMG wheels.
Here's the original wheel specs for my car - (With the AMG 18" Wheel option)
18x8.5 ET 48 - 245/40/18 All around.
Proposed new wheel specs - from CLS63
Front 19x9 ET 37, 255/35/19
Rear 19x10 ET 47 285/20/19
So According to an online wheel calculator here's the differences:
For the front:
Diameter 653.2mm 661.1mm
Circumference 2052.1mm 2076.9mm
Poke 60mm 77.3mm
Inset 156mm 151.3mm
Speedo error 0% -1.19%
Reading at 30mph 30mph 29.64mph
Reading at 60mph 60mph 59.28mph
Ride height gain 0mm 3.95mm
Arch gap loss 0mm 3.95mm
Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 4.6mm further away from the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 17.4mm more than before.
For the Rear
Diameter 653.2mm 653.6mm
Circumference 2052.1mm 2053.3mm
Poke 60mm 80mm
Inset 156mm 174mm
Speedo error 0% -0.06%
Reading at 30mph 30mph 29.98mph
Reading at 60mph 60mph 59.96mph
Ride height gain 0mm 0.2mm
Arch gap loss 0mm 0.2mm
Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 18.1mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 20.1mm more than before.
So I think I might be OK, but I'm a little worried about the inner clearance on the rear.
Please advise,
Thanks,
George
