Who should I believe, TSW's Fitment Guide or the tire shop's "expert"?

Hey all,

Couldn't find this info elsewhere, was hoping you guys could chime in.

I'm in the market for some TSW Nurburgring 18x8, 45 offset. I went into the tire shop with this in mind, as well as TSW's recommended tire size (255/35-18), but was told that this size may be too wide for my W205 RWD. They said 245/40 would be a better fit.

Who should I believe? The manufacturer or the tire shop? My money is on TSW, but hopefully someone can shed some truth on this matter.

Thanks.

I would go with the TSW fitment guide. I got my 19" Rogue TSW rims installed, and the tire shop that did it, went with TSW fitment guide. Best of luck to you.
