I recently bought my first car after graduating and getting a pretty solid intro job. I bought an off-lease 2012 MB C250. It has about 35k miles on it now. I got a nail in one tire last week and went to firestone to get it patched and they said I am real close to needing all new tires. I normally would think this is there sleezy sales pitch, but my car has been hydroplaning (nothing serious just a little slippage) pretty often in the rain. Is this normal for a 2wd car or are my tires most likely the problem?

I will attach the tires they suggest me to get. They recommend run-flat tires, which I've read online to have pretty mixed reviews. I love cars, but I am very ignorant about how they actually work, I just like a smooth, quick ride. I would appreciate any help from people who actually know what they are talking about.
