W210 Wagon Shock Absorber Issue
Hi,
I have a 2002 E320 4Matic Wagon. I love the old girl, she's still tight, rides well, just over 200000 km and still going strong.
The ride turned hard and is mow impossible. The rear shockers are leaking, and probably empty.
The shockers have an additional line on them, to connect to self levelling?
I have found the replacement, on the ebay link below, but they are quite expensive.

Is it possible to just use regular shockers and simply not connect the self levelling?
Will it set off dashboard lights and limp modes?
I know in the past with Range Rovers, folks always replaced the air suspension with coil springs.
I would be grateful for any pointers or tips

I would swap them for coils. I plan on doing that soon to my E320. Cheaper and i have heard its way easier if needed to replace in the future. Good luck

Pelican Parts has replacements; not cheap but quality. Sometimes you gotta pay to play. You can always search for OEM Mercedes parts online. It is possible to get the parts effectively for dealer cost so long as you have the OEM part number. Just search on the part number and you will be surprised.
