Anybody running 315 drag radials?
I've got a pair of Nitto Nt05Rs on a set of wheels from another car, was wondering if anybody has run a 315/35-17 on the back? Slightly smaller diameter than the stock tire size so they should clear. And the offset on these wheels is 27mm and the 3/4" hub-centric adapters I need to run them are going to put basically all the extra rubber plus some on the outside if my math is right. So it might look dumb, but I think they will fit. Anyway, I've got the custom adapters ordered so I'm going to give it a shot but still looking for input.
Looking for experiences/feedback from anyone who has run that much tire as to how much it helps traction. I have a modded 2004 S600 and it needs all the traction help it can get, but looking for input from anybody that's run something like this on the back of a V8/V12 car. This would most likely be for going to the track only. Thanks!
