2017 GLC 300 - are MOE tires absolutely required?

Newbie to Mercedes here but I'm taking delivery of a 2017 GLC next month for my Wife. I live in Canada so it's a snowy wastelands for half the year and I was looking to get a set of Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 (SUV)s for her since that's what I got her for her previous car and they work like a hot damn. Our dealer has come back saying that we need to buy MOE certified tires (from my searches online and on MBWorld, they're just semi-run flat tires, not true run flats). Now he's also said that he had another customer by 3rd party tires and rims and now the car vibrates and shakes, which I found hard to believe.

Can anyone shine any light on whether or not MOE certified tires are necessary?

For reference, my plan was:

take stock rims and tires. Use stock rims with new Hakkapeliittas, then put stock tires on new set of rims in the spring. Dealer making it sound like putting anything but MOE certified tires is going to ruin the ride. Sounds like BS (unless you're running studded tires...)

Thanks in advance!

Quick update: the dealer's suggestion is a winter tire package:

6 spoke MB alloy wheels
Pirelli Scorpion winter run flat tires

$3750 CDN all in. ANy thoughts on this?
