Spocom Car Show to Visit San Diego After Anaheim Success
Those of us who like to show off our cars will surely enjoy the Spocom car show when they visits San Diego.
We’re fans of all kinds of car builds here at MBWorld. We like the of-roading G-wagons just as much as we like the drag racing E55’s. We like racing, and we like classics. We like ’em all. And the Spocom car show in San Diego is just around the corner, and has SoCal’s best on display.
Those who have been to the Spocom event before know how great it is, and now after a little while away, it’s back! Hosted at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, Spocom will gather some of the coolest cars in the area on Saturday, September 16th. It’s on a huge venue, so you can expect a lot of cars. And it is not just the hundreds of cars. There’s a vendor row with all of your favorite aftermarket items, and the Spocom model lounge.
Judging by their Instagram feed, the show mainly caters towards the tuner crowd, but there’s a few Mercedes that pop in here and there. All the more reason for someone to show them how it’s really done, and maybe even earn a trophy for the best Mercedes or even best Euro Car. But we’re fans of more than just Mercedes here. So, other categories include best: Exotic, Old School, Overland, VIP, Exterior, Team, Engineering, Best in Show. So there’s actually a lot of ways a Mercedes can win.
We know of a few G-wagon owners from the forums that would be in the running for best overland. And there’s quite a high number of AMG’s that would make for Best Euro. And if anyone has a Mercedes race car, well that trophy for Best Engineering might be waiting for you. Better yet, if you want to just show off your car or hang out with friends, then there’s no better place than to do so with hundreds of fellow car geeks.
