2018 Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4Matic Is Violently Fast (Video)

AMG is on a mission to defy the laws of physics, and the beast that is the new E63 S does exactly that.

We’re living in the midst of a mind-blowing technological revolution. Sure, this can be said for a few periods throughout history. But there’s no doubt that what Mercedes-AMG is doing with its drivetrains today is absolutely insane. It’s almost as if the laws of physics don’t apply to them – or at the very least, the new E63 S.

This video comes to us courtesy of GTBOARD.com, who recently got their hands on the 2018 model and gave it a thorough run. Unfortunately, the video was filmed during what appears to be dawn or dusk in less-than-favorable weather conditions.

And while the journalist does a great job of explaining his findings, his accent makes it a bit difficult to understand what’s going on. Add to it the poor lighting and the vehicle’s specs shown in kilometers and liters, and you have a less than glamorous video.

So from a visual standpoint, it isn’t exactly flattering to the sleek AMG. But it’s still special. Because this isn’t any E63 S. It’s an E63 S Wagon!

In the end, none of our nitpicking really matters. Watching the E63 S launch like a bat out of hell on wet tarmac says it all. In addition, the sound and the performance numbers recorded by two different sources speak volumes about what AMG has been able to accomplish. Really? 11 seconds to 125 mph in a five-passenger station wagon? Yes, please!

Don’t let some of the less-than-ideal details of this video turn you off. Pay attention to what’s important and you’ll be blown away!
