CLS Shooting Brake gets the green light
Hopefully, this is nothing like the Porsche Shooting Brake hoax that had a lot of people fooled from the very start. Mercedes-Benz has just official word of plans to build the CLS Shooting Brake by 2012. This promising model should go into production along with the rest of the company’s models in their plant in Sindelfingen.
The CLS Shooting Brake concept was first revealed back at the Beijing
Motor Show. So we should well expect production spy shots to start
leaking around early next year. News travels fast in this business, as
you’ve witnessed time and again. The company’s saying they’re going to
be putting the sedan’s standard powerplant under the hood of not only
the Shooting Brake, but the CLS63 AMG as well that’s set to hit LA show
floors this coming week.
This sounds promising, guys. Our best wishes go to the company and
their engineers into making the Shooting Brake concept a reality. There
are countless of Mercedes-Benz fans out there counting on a sleek wagon
variant of the highly acclaimed CLS. We know we are part of that crowd.
So this we got to see come 2011. The spy photos, that is. Stay tuned for
updates right here at BenzInsider.
