Misha Charoudin’s effortless familiarity with the Nürburgring made for lots of smiles in a 585-HP Mercedes-AMG C63 S

Track driver Misha Charoudin is familiar enough with the mighty Nürburgring Nordschleife. Well, certainly enough to get the most out of a Mercedes-AMG C63 S on the storied track. After all, his bio line on his YouTube page reads “I live and drive at the world-famous Nürburgring.”

As a result, owner Lars Jørgen Dahl had no issues sitting in the passenger seat of his Mercedes-AMG C63 S as Charoudin flogged it around the track. But while this wasn’t an over-built project car, it did have a few tricks up its sleeve. “One of the best C63s I’ve driven so far. Probably in the tire choice,” Charoudin said of the blue AMG. He’s referring to the C63 S’s grippy set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

A sticky set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 kept the C63 S in line, despite burning brakes

And that grip is evident as Charoudin exceeds 1.1 lateral g’s in the Nürburgring many corners. Still, even with the adherent rubber, you can hear tortured tires over the occasional chuckle from Lars in the passenger seat. In fact, Lars never once stopped smiling, laughing, and uttering the occasional “Oh my.”

Still, even with a volatile 585 horsepower under the hood and sticky tires, the Mercedes-AMG C63 S didn’t have a drama-free lap. After the duo crossed the finish line and debriefed, Charoudin shared, ” Stock brakes; they were on fire by the end of the lap.” Hot brakes are to be expected, considering the violent pre-corner braking.

Of course, Charoudin added a much-needed disclaimer to remind would-be copycats that it’s not a great idea. “The actions performed in this video are executed by professionals or individuals that consider themselves professional on a closed circuit within the local regulations.” Either way, he put the C63 S through its paces around the infamous “Green Hell.”
