A45 AMG Prototype Appears in Preview

Now here’s something new. Instead of allowing the ever present spy photographers hanging around the ring to get a jump on their upcoming car, Mercedes has gone ahead and released their own spy shots. I guess we can’t really call them spy shots if they’re professionally taken from Mercedes, so we’re going to have to come up with another name. Proto-photos maybe?

Anyway, thanks to this new trend, we’re able to get a really good look at the A45 AMG. We still can’t see the front bumper, but at least we can check out that bodacious behind. It’s got dual exhausts just so no one mistakes this for your everyday A-Class. What really caught my eye though were those wheels. The turbine spokes look awesome, especially in that anthracite finish.

On the whole though, the car doesn’t actually look that extreme. I think that’s a good thing. The last thing I need is a more attention when driving a 350hp AWD hot hatch because I will probably be speeding. A lot.
