AMG C63

Full exhaust and a tune add power to this AMG C63 while wheels and body bits add some style.

The 2012 Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 coupe is a fantastic luxury performance machine and when you add the Development Package, the 6.2-liter V8 delivers 481 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. Most drivers will find that to be plenty of power to get through their daily commute, but for those who want better performance can turn to the aftermarket tuning market.

While flipping through the MBWorld Marketplace, we came across this 2012 AMG C63, posted to the forum by SheryarYO. This machine has been lightly modified inside and out, leading to a Benz coupe that offers 540 horsepower in a sharp-looking package.

Introduction

When the OP first posted this C63 for sale, he included the following information, detailing the key factory features and the aftermarket upgrades.

AMG C63

“I bought this car a couple of years ago after selling my previous 2008 C63. Absolute monster of a car, but after basically having the same engine for over 7 years, I’m finally ready to move on to something new.

I bought it as the third owner and have maintained it meticulously myself since then. I drove up to New Jersey from the DC area to buy this, because I searched for a while and finally found a nice, clean one with the P31 AMG Development Package and all the other options I wanted. Like I said before, I had a C63 before this as well and know literally every single thing there is to know about these cars.

Original options:
-P31 AMG Development Package ($5950)
Adds SLS engine internals (forged pistons, lightweight con rods, and revised crank). Also increases stock HP by 30 and removes the speed limiter. Adds a carbon fiber spoiler, alcantara steering wheel, and red brake calipers. Literally the most important option to have on these cars due to the upgraded engine internals.
-Carbon Fiber Interior Trim ($2950)
-Lighting Package ($1290)
-COMAND Single Disc Package ($930)
-Lane Tracking Package ($850)
-Keyless Go ($650)
-Rearview Camera ($460)

Aftermarket Mods:
Eurocharged V7 Tune (up to 540hp. Also comes with a couple other tweaked custom tunes and $750 handheld tuner in case you want to switch through any of them or flash back to stock).
-Custom Exhaust (Aftermarket log manifolds with high flow cats+secondary cat and resonator delete. Keeps the original AMG sound while amplifying it a bit when you get on the car a bit. Stock exhaust pieces available and will come with the car.)
ROW Air Boxes with BMC air filters (the absolute best set up)
-Gunmetal 19″ rims
-Carbon Fiber Mode Carbon Spoiler
-Carbon Fiber rear diffuser
-Carbon Fiber Black Series style front lip
-Wrapped exterior window trim black instead of the stock aluminum to give it a cleaner look

Car has a black interior. I don’t have any pictures currently of the interior, but will take some when I give it a wash and detail this weekend (or whenever the weather is better). Car was never put on the track and only driven spirited occasionally. All maintenance was done on time by myself. Happy to show the car almost anytime or answer any questions at all.”

The seller also included images of the exterior from every angle, but we don’t get any engine or interior pictures.

AMG C63

Loaded with Luxury and Performance

When this 2012 AMG C63 was ordered, it was equipped with all of the key performance-oriented options including the Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Package and the Lighting Package. Most notably, it has the Development Package, with stronger engine internals, 30 extra horsepower (standard output is 451) and some dress-up bits inside and out.

This C63 was beefed up from the factory, but during its seven years on the road, the owner has added a full custom exhaust system and a tune that lifts the output to 540 horsepower. The owner also added some carbon fiber exterior bits such as the rear diffuser and the Mode Carbon rear spoiler. As a result, this car looks a bit sportier than it did when stock, while the unseen upgrades and extra power will be best-experienced from behind the wheel.

"Before I was old enough to walk, my dad was taking me to various types of racing events, from local drag racing to the Daytona 500," says Patrick Rall, a lifetime automotive expert, diehard Dodge fan, and respected auto journalist for over 10 years. "He owned a repair shop and had a variety of performance cars when I was young, but by the time I was 16, he was ready to build me my first drag car – a 1983 Dodge Mirada that ran low 12s. I spent 10 years traveling around the country, racing with my dad by my side. While we live in different areas of the country, my dad still drag races at 80 years old in the car that he built when I was 16 while I race other vehicles, including my 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and my 1972 Dodge Demon 340.

"Although I went to college for accounting, my time in my dad’s shop growing up allowed me the knowledge to spend time working as a mechanic before getting my accounting degree, at which point I worked in the office of a dealership group. While I was working in the accounting world, I continued racing and taking pictures of cars at the track. Over time, I began showing off those pictures online and that led to my writing.

"Ten years ago, I left the accounting world to become a full-time automotive writer and I am living proof that if you love what you do, you will never “work” a day in your life," adds Rall, who has clocked in time as an auto mechanic, longtime drag racer and now automotive journalist who contributes to nearly a dozen popular auto websites dedicated to fellow enthusiasts.

"I love covering the automotive industry and everything involved with the job. I was fortunate to turn my love of the automotive world into a hobby that led to an exciting career, with my past of working as a mechanic and as an accountant in the automotive world provides me with a unique perspective of the industry.

"My experience drag racing for more than 20 years coupled with a newfound interest in road racing over the past decade allows me to push performance cars to their limit, while my role as a horse stable manager gives me vast experience towing and hauling with all of the newest trucks on the market today.

"Being based on Detroit," says Rall, "I never miss the North American International Auto Show, the Woodward Dream Cruise and Roadkill Nights, along with spending plenty of time raising hell on Detroit's Woodward Avenue with the best muscle car crowd in the world.
