Earlier today on our sister site 6SpeedOnline, we posted a petition for the revision of the United States’ inane 25-year import car ban. One thing that wasn’t said was who in the industry helped push it. That would be Mercedes.

Earlier this week, Chinese regulators went into MB’s offices to investigate “monopolistic behavior,” whatever the hell that means.

Personally, I think it sounds good, but it’s missing something. It’s missing the raucous noise that previously made AMG engines distinct.

For a while now, we’ve known Mercedes was building a one-off limousine that would probably carry the Pullman name. Allegedly leaked images from a patent now show what the super limo may look like … essentially a terribly stretched S-Class.

Seeing how much cash BMW is raking in with its M Performance editions for literally every car known to man, Mercedes has decided it wants in on this game as well.

Most of us plebeians think someone riding in the back of an S-Class is someone with access to an air force — someone who generally has enemies. So to protect oneself from enemy fire, one needs to armor his/her S-Class. Thankfully, Mercedes has the solution for that.
