700-Horsepower Brabus G63 AMG Affixed With an African Buffalo Battles a Rolls Royce Phantom

Here’s something that you don’t see very often.

In fact, it might be the first time we’ve come across anything like it. After all, a Brabus G63 AMG 6×6 is a pretty rare sighting in itself, for those of us living in the U.S. — since sales for the SUV are pretty much confined to Europe. But seeing one with an African buffalo planted on the roof, lining up against a Rolls-Royce Phantom on the drag strip is something of an entirely different nature, regardless of where you call home.

However, it’s clear that this heavily beefed-up Mercedes was never intended to fit into the typical SUV category.

For starters, the G63’s twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine has been modified to crank out a whopping 700 horsepower, an increase of 156 horses over the AMG’s standard 544 horses. Just listen to that engine roar. Not exactly the usual setup you’d expect on a luxury SUV, right? Secondly, the truck is priced at $780,000, which is pretty expensive for any car, but especially for a luxury SUV.

Now, the entire bull thing atop the roof rack? Well, we’re thinking that’s strictly part of some wild promo intended to intimidate foes on the dragstrip. Although, we imagine that the Mercedes-AMG SUV would be slightly faster without a bull strapped to its roof.

Then again, what’s a few extra pounds to a massive 700-horsepower beast like this?
