Brabus Rocket 900 Lights Up the Desert

Brabus as a company, at least in my opinion, must be full of absolute lunatics. Their brand of Mercedes power would look comically large against the thrust capable of a Saturn V rocket. Between the ludicrous numbers being pumped out of the Brabus tuned G63 6×6 AMG and the absolute ridiculousness of the company’s twin-turbocharged V12s, Brabus is my type of crazy. However, the Rocket 900 holds a special place in my heart, not only for its blistering power, but also for its superbly insane color scheme.

The latest Brabus, the Rocket 900 based off a Mercedes S65, has been finished off in “Desert Gold,” a one off paint color that Brabus did for a special client in Dubai. In addition to the gold paint, Brabus highlighted the car’s sporting nature by including carbon fiber the entire way around the car and matte-black Brabus mono-block wheels that are 21-inches large.

Additionally, the interior of the car received a host of Brabus custom touches, including gold stitching that completes the “Desert Gold” theme. Under the hood is a 900 horsepower twin-turbocharged V12 engine that also pumps out a staggering 1,100lb-ft of torque. The car is now capable of hitting 217 miles per hour. However, its 3.7 second 0-60mph time is what’s really going to get your heart pumping.

What do you all think? Is this just the right touch of crazy, or is it entirely too far out there, verging on Mansory levels of stupidity? Sound off in the comments below.
