Track Testing the C63 AMG Black Edition
What is black, loud, and fast all over?
If you haven’t been paying attention to Carfection, allow us to haul you out from under your damp rock and slap you in the face with some awesomeness. Let’s start with this new video of the Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series. You know, the most aggressive and hardcore C-Class to date. This video features a young man by the name of Alex Goy, who you may recognize as one of the old faces of XCAR from back in the day, and he is on track with AMG’s latest darling.
This is part of a new series Carfection is calling “Three Laps With.” And as you’d expect, Alex gets himself just three laps to extol the virtues or discrepancies of any given machine. Except that description is a bit of a lie in the video above, as Alex has nothing to add to the discrepancies side of the C63’s chart.

Rather, we are treated to three minutes of a man waxing poetically about the aggression, the fury, and the poise at which this particular AMG toy can dominate the track. Alex even goes so far as to note on the way the air inside the car tastes. This is a man is in love.
If you came for wild sideways action, you’ll need to go find a Chris Harris video somewhere, sorry. But if you want to see someone tiptoeing a phenomenal sports car around a track at the limit, press play and enjoy yourself.
