AMG CLK63 Black Series

This super-rare Mercedes-Benz gem of a coupe could be yours for a mere $144K.

Here’s a beauty, and a pretty rare one at that.

As noted in a post on The Drive, there were only 349 units of the Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series sold during its production run from 2007 to 2009. As you’d imagine, one in good condition still carries a pretty steep price.

This particular 2008 model being sold by DuPont Registry carries a price tag of $144,563. Considering that it only has 855 miles on the odometer, it’s practically a new car considering how well it’s aged over the years. Apparently, the Mercedes’ one and only owner garaged it in California and kept it in near-showroom condition. That would explain its seemingly flawless, classic look.

In fact, the only non-factory items on the Mercedes are the Euro-style carbon doors. However, they’re subtle enough that the authentic design appeal of the car’s era still remains intact.

Then there’s the fact that Black Series CLK63 is equipped with a 6.2-liter, V8 engine that cranks out 500-horsepower. That puts it on par with a lot of newer high-performance coupes.

This particular car also features the AMG Aero Package, which includes a number of cool extras such as DTM steering wheel, a unique aero bumper, and custom wheels. The addition of the Aero package also eliminates the car’s rear seat, aimed at enhancing the Black Series CLK63’s performance attributes by lightening the car’s weight.
