Climb on Board for Some Mercedes-AMG GT S Track Time

You’re probably going to be mad at one of your fellow MB World members after you read this, but once the pangs of jealousy subside, you may just be happy for super moderator nlpamg and his glorious day at the track driving the AMG GT S. You’ll certainly be happy for the informative review he bequeaths unto us less fortunate souls in the forum.

Thanks to Mercedes-AMG and the Private Lounge, nlpamg had himself one hootenanny of a good time taking AMG’s latest monster out for an event at the Thermal Club. Not only did he get to drive the GT every which way including loose, but nlpamg was also given a technical presentation as to why the car behaves like an absolute road warrior.

If you’re looking for a reliable source, nlpamg is your man. He’s driven tracks all around the world, in all sorts of rides. He uses that expertise to break down every aspect of the AMG GT S, inside and out, from interior to exterior, to steering to transmission. It’s almost like being along for the ride. Almost.

Since he’s planning on waiting for a more “exclusive” version, nlpamg says he isn’t quite ready to buy the S just yet. But that doesn’t mean he’s not impressed. “I love the way AMG is headed and after I had been a long-time BMW M supporter, I’m now back in the Mercedes-AMG camp,” nlpamg posted.

The second is seven seconds of engine noise packing such a wallop of evilness, it could very well serve as entrance music for a Bond villain.
