Custom E-Class Pickup for Sale

This Custom E-Class Pickup Is a Rare Gem, Indeed. The Seller Claims Only Three Were Ever Built

How far can you stretch the idea of wild in the world of Mercedes-Benz?

Well, clearly pretty far, if this 1999 E280 wagon converted into a pickup is any indication.

The W210 conversion certainly isn’t your typical custom take on a Mercedes. But we suspect that whoever would be willing to pay the $25,000 listed price isn’t actually your typical car buyer either.

The car, or rather pickup, still retains all the luxury amenities you’d expect to find in a ’99 E280 Wagon, but in a more elongated way. According to CarScoops, the vehicle was stretched about two-and-a-half feet, with the addition of the bed on the back that gives the Mercedes its unique look. But be clear, this custom Mercedes pickup isn’t strictly for show.

The bed of the vehicle is lined in industrial-style diamond plating. And it features a railing around the top, a handy feature on any vehicle when it comes to hauling stuff around town.

The seller claims that there were only three of these trucks made, which were actually valued at $100,000 when new. This particular one has racked up 150,000 miles, which amounts to a little under 9,000 miles a year. So, we guess you could say that $25K is a pretty good deal. But if you’re considering buying this wild wagon conversion, you’ll have to factor in a shipping cost from Europe, too. The seller of the stretched Mercedes pickup is based in Denmark.

Then again, unless you’re a diehard collector with a whole lot of cash to blow, we can’t imagine there’d be a lot of people here in the States, or in Europe for that matter, racing to pay $25K for a stretched ’99 Mercedes wagon/pickup.
