e-class technology

The new E-class — which admittedly looks like a new S-class… and a new C-class — is loaded to the brim with technology that blurs the lines between driver involvement and autonomous driving. From the car’s ability to self-park, to its collision mitigation technology, it all sounds too good to be true. But what is it like in the real world rather than in the test lab? Drive.com.au is here to test those features, and short of trying to actually stuff it into a wall, they put all that technology to the test in the video below.

Now, the E-class technology featured here comes in the form of an all-new E-class. This re-design will be available with different engines than those described in the video, with 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder gasoline engines being the more common variants you’ll find States-side. Regardless of propulsion, the technology behind the car is what puts it far beyond its rivals. It can change lanes by simply putting on the indicator, it can follow the road with its stereoscopic camera technology, and it can even read road signs and adjust speed when the limits change. All of this and more is described in the video. Be sure to check it out, then let us know what you think!
