We all know about the terrible reality of America’s draconian import laws. The 25-year rule is simply one of the most asinine regulations under the sun, and with it, we are deprived of some of the coolest cars ever to be built. At least until they become 25-years-old, then, according to the federal government, it’s cool to import them legally.

Through the years, countless petitions have been signed, and millions of dollars has gone into the fight against this stupid law. However, nothing has changed, and the government routinely seizes people’s property and crushes those cars that they deem illegal. Thankfully, however, this 190E Cosworth Evo 2 is exactly 25-years-old and has now been imported legally. And it’s for sale on eBay, which means you could be the first person to own a DTM special on U.S. soil.

According to Mercedes, only 500 of these street legal DTM Evo 2s were ever built. They used an AMG 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine that provided the car with an ample 235 horsepower. However, the price seems a bit high, even if it is the first DTM to be brought over to the United States. Currently priced at $205,000 on eBay, this extremely rare classic Mercedes is something truly unique. Here’s the question though, would you pay that sum to be the first one, or wait till a few others find their way over to our shores?
