Five Coolest Mercedes We Spotted at Awesome Joe Auctions

Whether you’re looking for a classic Mercedes SL or a newer S-Class, Awesome Joe has something for everyone.

The invention of the internet has been a great thing for most people, particularly automotive enthusiasts. Now, instead of having to drive around or scour the local classifieds for cool rides, we have access to all sorts of stuff across the globe. That includes a brand new site called Awesome Joe Auctions, which just launched on Cyber Monday. And after spending some time sifting through the many auction listings there, we came across a lot of cool Mercedes vehicles in particular.

Unlike most other auction sites, Awesome Joe is actually free to list with. And if/when your vehicle sells, you only pay a small 2% fee. Obviously, this has already attracted a lot of listings despite the site’s relatively young age. And since Awesome Joe is the joint creation of legendary Carlisle Events and up and coming influencer Andy Lally Alive, it’s obviously legit. Not to mention packed with a wide variety of Mercedes vehicles. Thus, we sifted through those lots, found our five favorites, and bring them here to you for your viewing enjoyment.

1975 Mercedes-Benz 280S

It isn’t every day you see a carbureted 280S, let along one in this kind of supreme condition. And yet, here it is. This particular classic Mercedes is in phenomenal shape, has enjoyed only two owners in its lifetime, and even sports its original Tobacco Brown paint. With just 69,000 miles on the clock, everything reportedly functions perfectly, too. And with an extensive list of recent maintenance, it’s ready to cruise for many more years to come.

1983 Mercedes-Benz 380 Series SL

This stunning ’83 SL is a true one-owner car with just over 4,000 miles on the odometer, which is pretty crazy when you think about it. The fact that it hasn’t been registered since 1991 probably helped keep the mileage that low, but it’s obviously been cared for over the years as well. Thankfully, the seller also just completed a full array of maintenance so it’s ready to drive now. And where else are you going to find what is essentially a brand new ’83 SL?

1991 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL

We love a good ’90s SL, as they’re both great looking and supremely comfortable machines. And this gorgeous silver example is one of the nicer ones we’ve seen in some time. With just 69k miles on the odometer, it’s obviously been driven sparingly over the years. And living in Florida, we imagine it’s also been driven by someone who’s cared for it and kept it away from the salty air. At least, we couldn’t spot any sand in that fantastic blue interior.

2003 Mercedes Benz SL500

2003 SL500

If you prefer the newer, curvier SL, this ’03 Designo Launch Edition should certainly peak your interest. This one has just 65k miles on the clock and looks fantastic in Desert Silver Metallic. Living its entire life in dry Arizona, there’s obviously no rot to worry about, either. It’s also packed with all the goodies you could get in 2003, including things like Bose Premium Sound, HID headlights, and heated and cooled seats.

2013 Mercedes Benz S550 AMG Sport Package

If you covet the luxury and power of a newer S-Class but don’t want to pay an exorbitant price for one, this ’13 should be right up your alley. It’s loaded to the gills with pretty much every option you could have, and still looks new enough that not too many people will know the difference. And to us, that’s the very definition of value.

These are just a few of the many cool Mercedes vehicles we spotted at Awesome Joe Auctions. And new listings are emerging every day. So be sure and head over here to check them all out!
