How Much Can a Wrap Transform a C63 AMG’s Looks?

By -

Any car becomes a blank canvas when it comes to a wrap, so how much can a splash of color change this AMG?

Car culture wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for customization. Given the biggest blank canvas on a car is the paint, that’s the obvious go-to. At the benefit of cost and time, you don’t even need to be in a spray booth to change the look. You can just wrap it. Solid colors or even printed designs can be made, so if you’re the CEO of a company, what will be your pick?

Carwow’s CEO, James Hind, wanted his C63 AMG to reflect the colors of his company. Naturally he chose blue with the Carwow logo on the hood, sides and trunk. We presume he wants to avoid blending in, but that’s advertising, right?

Showcasing just how skilled you have to be to wrap a car, host Mat Watson tries to take on a simple side mirror. With such a small surface to play with, you’d think it would be easy. That’s not the case at all. Surface contours make things quite difficult, so you have to respect the patience and years of practice that are put into perfecting an art. It’s not cheap, either, and the quality of the wrap is of course going to need to match the quality of something like a C63 AMG.

As for the final product, it’s a bit like the AMG itself: loud.
