Shield Your Eyes: Two-Toned Pink and Brown SLK

There’s something to be said for this customized SLK. Certainly there’s nothing positive to say about it, but sometimes it’s best to just let the photos do the talking. This is probably the ugliest SLK I’ve ever laid eyes on and by far the tackiest. I mean gold and pink? Seriously?

Besides the sparkling poop-brown paint, the way they did the two-tone paint is aggravating. I mean the colored roof is fine (relatively) but why are just the side mirrors painted? If they couldn’t paint the whole assembly without ruining the look of the car, they shouldn’t have painted it at all. Same goes for the hood.

The crystal encrusted Mercedes emblem up front just makes me sad. Not because it’s ugly or anything; in fact it’s probably the best part of the car. But something like that takes time and detail. It means they had the ability and patience to do a better job of everything else, and then didn’t, because some one told them to do this.
