Lewis Hamilton & Usain Bolt Say “Whoo Hoo” While Drifting an AMG GT R
The duo of speed kings tackled the many complex corners of the Circuit of the Americas at the wheel of AMG’s Beast of the Green Hell.
For all intents and purposes it’s safe to say: It’s good to be Lewis Hamilton, and it’s also pretty good to be Usain Bolt. After all, both characters are at the top of their respective games, icons in their sport, and make a darn good living doing so.
In fact, since this video was shot and published by the FORMULA 1 YouTube channel, Mercedes-AMG Petronas’ Lewis Hamilton has gone on to win his fourth Formula One Driver’s World Championship title. Needless to say, such accomplishment comes with enormous bragging rights and a very, very hefty pay raise. He’s truly #blessed. (And we’re #envious!)
This specific piece of footage may not be the most informative regarding the mind-blowing AMG GT R dubbed ‘The Beast of the Green Hell,’ but it sure is entertaining! We got a kick out of watching Hamilton let loose and have fun while trying spook the fastest-running man in the world. It’s always fun seeing a couple of megastars forget about their fame and status and have some high-octane fun.
Our favorite part is when Hamilton fumbles around to turn the traction control off, only to hear Bolt beg for mercy and tell him to “Keep the traction on.” Who would’ve thought?!
The thrilling ride ends with celebratory donuts on the Circuit of the America’s front straight, before Bolt exits the car claiming Hamilton was trying to kill him. Ha. Enjoy!
