Mansory Finally Builds Something That’s Not Hideous
“It’s outrageous and powerful, and it has the ability to frighten women and children everywhere.” That’s usually how you start describing a car that comes out of the tuner Mansory’s workshop. More often than not, it’s the most hideous thing on the planet and should be killed with fire. However, that’s not the case with the company’s newest offering.
Mansory, surprisingly, didn’t go all freaky with the M1000, which is based on the new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG, and left the exterior rather subdued. That’s a good thing because there’s 1,000 horsepower under the hood, making this sedan one of the best sleepers ever.
The outside of the M1000 received only a few small touches. Those include door mirrors, a trunk spoiler, and front and rear splitters – all made out of carbon fiber. Aside from those accents, and a trick set of rims, the car is almost completely stock-looking.
The trip from zero to 62 mph takes just 3.2 seconds. Mansory has put a 186-mph limiter on the car, but the company will remove it, if you wish.
After seeing so many ugly cars come out of Mansory, I think it’s nice to be able to say – finally – that it’s made one I like.
