Mansory Kicks Off US Initiative With Subtly Modified SL

Mansory

Known for wild and often outrageous body kids, Mansory gently splashes into the US market.

We’ve seen some really wild stuff from Mansory. For now, it has managed to stay off the US shores, but now that will change. Mansory is now showcasing an AMG SL 63 build for the Yankees to finally enjoy.

Stepping far away from their traditional over-the-top styling and colors, this SL stays sleek and subtle. We honestly didn’t know Mansory could do it. Changes for the SL include just about every panel as we see from AutoEvolution. Up front there’s a more aggressive front splitter arrangement. Atop the engine, a new carbon fiber hood with added vents follows the lines of the car.

Along the SL’s flanks, there’s new side skirts and gills, but also huge over fender flares painted to match the car. The widened track is nothing new to Mansory, and this SL is no different. Let your eyes wanter toward’s the cars rear and you’ll see a new splitter/diffuser combo. This is matched with new surrounds for the tail pipes. It’s all topped off with a considerably modest rear deck-lid spoiler.

No interior shots are provided, which is odd as this is where Mansory typically likes to go bonkers. However, maybe testing the waters with a more subtle introduction might not be a bad idea. Share the idea of modification first, then confess the desire to go wild later. If any changes were made inside, we’d imagine that a loud splash of color would be added to every surface possible. In leather, naturally.

Mechanically, it looks like wheels are the only change that has happened to the drivetrain. Mansory isn’t afraid of adding power to their cars, and has been known for some decent numbers in the past. Mansory has made 1,000 horsepower cars in the past, so there’s no reason not to continue tradition. Power mods could be a future option since the SL 63 houses such a tunable engine. Our thought is Mansory could have a subtle bump from OEM to match the subtle body kit added to this here SL.
