We’ll have to wait until the Geneva debut for the official specs. But the power source is expected to be Mercedes’ twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12, which is rated at 621 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque. Of course, the most distinctive features of the G650 will be found in the cockpit, a staple of any Mercedes that wears the Maybach badge.

For example, the Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet, which debuted earlier this year at the North American International Auto Show, features unique leather seats and wood veneer accents.

From the looks of it, the bar for luxury will be set even higher for the new wagon, given the kind of price the new Maybach is expected to command. The G500 4×4² starts at $225,925, and the more exclusive G650 is sure to exceed that by several thousands. It’s likely to cap out near or over $300K for the top-of-the-line model.
