If you want a big, badass sport wagon, the Mercedes-Benz AMG E63S is one of the best options in the world. In stock form, this sleek family truckster packs 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque with a gorgeous exterior and a loaded cabin. Of course, there is also plenty of aftermarket support to help add even more power and more attitude, but not everyone has the capacity to buy one of these super wagons and modify it.

Fortunately, AllenJDMB posted his 2018 AMG E63S for sale and in addition to being in like-new condition, it has been tastefully modified. It is listed for $104,900, but when you factor in the list of expensive aftermarket upgrades, you can’t buy and build a car like this for anywhere close to $105k.

When the OP first posted his 2018 Mercedes-Benz AMG E63S wagon for sale, he provided a quick synopsis of the key factory features and the modifications that have been added since he got the gorgeous machine.

18 E63s wagon in Diamond White with black leather and alcantara combo, just under 13k miles, nearly 2 years of warranty left. The highest quality mods, Renntech ECU ($3400) and downpipes ($4200) all tuned to match with no glitches or CE lights. It pulls like a 747 and just keeps going. 21 Vossen MX-3, in 9.5 and 10.5×21, with PS 4 rubber ($12000), lowering module ($500), Akropovich titanium muffler system with sport and quiet modes ($8 THOUSAND dollars, without freight and un-installed), black badges, all weather mats, books, Built in K40 remote with hidden lights in AC vent, both keys, just serviced at MB store, high quality tint, not a mark or scratch anywhere, no smoke, little kids, dirty hands or food, books, both master keys. It is the most fun MB I have ever owned, and would not even consider selling it, but my wife wants a new house, and losing cars is cheaper than ex-wives. If you like the stuff, there is no way you could build it for this. If you’d prefer it stock, I could get it most of the way back pretty easily (but why?). I might take a trade if it’s something neat with some substantial cash back (MB, Porsche, BMW M, Audi?) . Incredible car that stops traffic and gets a thumbs up everywhere you go….thanks..Deep references and years of experience, let’s chat.

The OP doesn’t mention how much power it is making after the exhaust upgrades and tuning package, but in short, it is making well over 600 horsepower. The exhaust surely adds some punch under hard throttle and the wheels look great, offering a great look at the big AMG stoppers.

A $104,900 Bargain

This 2018 Mercedes-Benz AMG E63S wagon is listed in the forum marketplace for $104,900 and to some, calling a car that costs that much a bargain might seem insane. However, we checked the price of this car in the seller’s area and found that Kelley Blue Book puts it in the range of $88,389 to $94,129, with an average of $91,272. If this E63S was stock, it would not be a great deal. But it isn’t stock.

When you add up the price of the RennTech ECU, the exhaust upgrades, the wheel-and-tire package, the suspension module and the integrated radar detector system, they cost the seller around $29,800. That price does not include the other small upgrades, but if you bought a 2018 AMG E63S wagon and bought the items listed above, you would invest roughly $30,000.

If you found one of these cars used, in stock form, for the KBB low-end price of $88,389 and added $30,000 in upgrades, you would have about $118,389 invested. You could save yourself the headache of finding the car, buying the aftermarket items and installing them, all while saving at least $10,000.

"Before I was old enough to walk, my dad was taking me to various types of racing events, from local drag racing to the Daytona 500," says Patrick Rall, a lifetime automotive expert, diehard Dodge fan, and respected auto journalist for over 10 years.
