MBWorld’s W211 AMG Owners Go to 11
The AMG community is stacked with high-rollers and baby-strollers, but they all have one thing in common: a big hand-built Benz engine waiting to lay down rubber. A recent MBWorld thread entitled “show us your 11s” brings together W211 AMG E-Class owners to show off their 100 feet or more burnouts. 11s assumes those tire marks will be seared in a straight line, but that’s not always the case, so I’m calling it “Club 100.”
Forum member Toadster kicked off the thread with his 100-ft burnout above, right in front of his local Mercedes dealer. Toadster sure looked like he was in total control through the burnout, laying down a perfectly straight patch of tire rubber. The rest of the group I can’t say the same for, however fishtailing burnouts always look better with your behind swinging out.
Ruthle55 shared the video above, showing off his “Club 100” work. It isn’t exactly Hollywood quality, but we still get to share the experience of his W211 takeoff in a major way.
Another super controlled burnout, and a nice thick one at that, shown above, is the one above from member lm7, who looks like he has a set of Hoosier drag tires on the rear. Those thick black grippy marshmallows really laid down a lot of debris. Massive smoke, I bet!
But the member who appears to have had the most fun is kustom2k1, whose drift patch above goes in all sorts of directions. He must have been sliding around and laughing the whole time.
