Mercedes-Benz Releases 2019 CLS Teaser Video

By -

The next-generation Mercedes-Benz CLS will make its debut at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show.

The Mercedes-Benz CLS has been a rather successful model for the three-pointed star, which means it has made the cut for yet another generation. While there aren’t specifics on the upcoming model, we do know that it will make its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and that it will follow the brand’s self-described design philosophy of “Sensual Purity,” as shown on the Concept A Sedan concept unveiled at Auto Shanghai earlier this year.

This video recently published on theĀ Mercedes-Benz YouTube channel gives us a quick peek at the next-generation CLS, without any silly black covers or confusing camouflage. The cover image reveals a sleek front end, which also sports the same DRL headlight design found in the AMG GT. As the camera pans to the side, we can appreciate fewer creases and more swooping designs in the beltline and roofline. This certainly relates to the newest designs rather than the outgoing, hard-edged models.

The video shows the LED taillights as well as the bi-Xenon adjustable headlight beams, which pair rather nicely to the new vintage-racer grille design. All in all, it looks like a seductive four-door coupe. Much like the bits and pieces we brought you on the upcoming G-Class, no other details or performance specifications were released about the upcoming CLS. The video promises the reveal on November 29, and with the Los Angeles Auto Show only a few days away, we’ll find out soon.
