First electric CLA Shooting Brake sets a new segment benchmark with its panoramic roof and illuminated starry sky.

Just weeks after the debut of the all-new CLA, Mercedes-Benz proudly presents the second model in this groundbreaking vehicle family: the all-new CLA Shooting Brake. As the first-ever electric Mercedes-Benz estate, it masterfully fuses the elegance, sportiness, and intelligence of the CLA with an abundance of space for passengers, luggage, and life’s adventures.

This is not just a car; it’s a statement for those who demand the thrill of a sports car without compromising on everyday practicality and a sustainable future. The European market launch is slated for March 2026, heralding a new era of electric mobility.

The iconic Shooting Brake enters the electric age, blending breathtaking design with unprecedented space, a revolutionary digital experience, and a remarkable range of up to 761 kilometers.

CLA Shooting Brake: A Striking Exterior

The CLA Shooting Brake’s design is a captivating blend of sporty proportions and futuristic details. Sharing its sleek profile with the CLA Saloon up to the B-pillar, it features a low greenhouse, a dynamic shark-nose front, and a unique front panel adorned with 142 individually illuminated chrome-look LED stars. This radiant face, combined with the optional MULTIBEAM LED headlights and light strip, creates an unmistakable identity.

The rear is equally distinctive, with star-shaped taillights connected by a light strip that accentuates the vehicle’s width and elegance. The roofline extends further back, culminating in a spoiler that makes the one-piece panoramic glass roof appear to flow seamlessly into the rear windscreen, adding a final touch of sophistication.

An Interior Oasis of Light & Space

Step inside, and the CLA Shooting Brake offers an exceptionally generous and open feeling of space, thanks in large part to its massive panoramic roof. This is not just any glass roof; it’s a technological marvel. To shield occupants from the sun’s rays, it is crafted from heat-insulating laminated safety glass with an infrared-reflecting and a low-emissivity (LowE) coating.

For an added touch of magic, the roof’s transparency can be changed from clear to opaque in milliseconds, providing instant privacy and improved glare protection. As a finishing touch, for the first time, this panoramic roof is connected to the ambient lighting, creating an illuminated starry sky with 158 integrated stars, offering a visual experience that is as unique as it is breathtaking.

Unprecedented Room & Versatility

The extended roofline of the CLA Shooting Brake translates directly into more comfort and practicality. Rear passengers enjoy a significant increase in headroom, and getting in and out is easier thanks to larger door cut-outs. The seats, which fold down in a 40:20:40 ratio, expand the boot volume to an impressive 1,290 liters.

Combined with the 101-liter frunk under the bonnet, the new model offers more cargo space than its predecessor. Standard roof rails with a 75-kilogram capacity and a towing capacity of up to 1,800 kilograms mean that from surfboards to jet skis, this electric estate is ready for any adventure.

Dawn of a New Digital Experience

The interior of the CLA Shooting Brake is a showcase of avant-garde design and intelligent technology. The optional MBUX Superscreen, stretching across the entire width of the cabin, is the centerpiece of a new luxury experience. Powered by the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), the new MBUX infotainment system integrates artificial intelligence from Microsoft and Google, making the MBUX Virtual Assistant more intuitive and capable than ever before.

It can handle complex dialogues, has a short-term memory, and can even recognize and react to emotions. Based on numerous customer requests, Mercedes-Benz has also reintroduced a rocker switch for DISTRONIC and a roller for volume control on the new multifunction steering wheel, improving ergonomics and usability.

Peak Electric Performance & Efficiency: CLA Shooting Brake

The CLA Shooting Brake sets a new benchmark in electric mobility with its remarkably low consumption and impressive range. The CLA 250+ Shooting Brake with EQ Technology delivers 200 kW of power and a range of up to 761 kilometers (WLTP). The newly developed electric drive system features a two-speed gearbox on the rear axle, enabling powerful acceleration from a standstill while ensuring excellent efficiency on long journeys.

The new-generation battery and 800-volt architecture allow for incredibly fast charging, with the ability to add up to 310 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes. For those not yet ready to go fully electric, a hybrid model with 48-volt technology will also be available.

A New Era of Standard Equipment & Modular Design

The all-new CLA Shooting Brake comes with a level of standard equipment that is exceptional in its class. From the Progressive Line exterior and LED High Performance headlights to the multifunction leather steering wheel and heated comfort seats, luxury and convenience are built-in.

This is all made possible by the innovative Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA), which has been designed to flexibly accommodate both all-electric and hybrid drive systems. This reduces complexity and allows for significant economies of scale, ensuring that this new family of vehicles is not only technologically advanced but also sustainably profitable.
