Mercedes-Benz GLT Pickup Truck Mule Spotted in Nissan Body
The folks at Mercedes confirmed that they are working on a pickup truck that should be on sale by the end of the decade. Spy photographers at the UK’s Car Magazine just spotted a mule, and it looked a lot like a Nissan Frontier.
That’s right, because of Mercedes-Benz’s partnership with Nissan on the pickup truck, early production mules are clad completely in Nissan Frontier clothing. You can see the spy shots here, but we’ve included some Frontier shots in this post for reference.
It appears that the new GL will be midsized, which makes sense for selling in European markets. With such strong demand for midsize trucks in the United States, we wouldn’t be completely surprised if they eventually offer it for sale here. Heck, it might even beat the rumored next-generation, US-sold Ford Ranger to market!
