Mercedes-Benz rolled into May scoring its best April sales month ever in the United States, pretty much confirming that if you own a ‘Benz, you’re in good company.

In total, the German brand sold 32,291 vehicles last month, including 29,236 cars, 2,589 vans, and 466 Smart vehicles.

Leading the charge were the C-Class with 5,645 sold, the E-Class (including the CLS) at 4,882, and the GLC with 4,439 units sold.

The higher-performance AMG arm of Mercedes saw an increase of more than 75% compared to last April, with a total of 1,967 models sold.

“We are heading into a strong second-quarter with a minimum of nine new model launches in the months ahead,” said Dietmar Exler, president and CEO of MBUSA. “We expect to see strong sales momentum as we move into the summer months.”

Mercedes-Benz even saw a sales increase with its Certified Pre-Owned (MBCPO) models, up 7.3% from previous April sales with 10,054 units sold last month.
