Mercedes-Benz Shows Off the New S-Class with a Video Walkaround
Model Callum Mullin introduces viewers to the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class with a video walkaround of the luxury staple.
Nearly 50 years ago, Mercedes-Benz rolled out its first W116 S-Class sedans. That car introduced the world to life-saving Anti-Lock Braking Systems (ABS). Now, all these years later, Stuttgart seems confident that the new S-Class is just as relevant to the luxury segment as before. So much so that Mercedes-Benz teamed up with model Callum Mullin for a walkaround look at the new, updated S-Class.
Mullin started with the interior, which Mercedes-Benz says is available in over 400 colors as part of the MANUFAKTUR Made to Measure program. “Welcome Home” adorns the door sills in the classic Mercedes-Benz lettering. The “Welcome Home” verbiage seems to be something of a theme for the new S-Class. As Mullin points out, the words of welcome also adorn the headrests, though not in the same script.

Screens, screens, and purified air
Comfort and serene isolation are the name of the game, with the interior boasting opulent features like massaging, climate-controlled seats, 13.1-inch rear screens, privacy blinds, and remote controls. Mullin notes that the new S-Class purifies and refreshes the cabin air supply every 90 seconds. And the S-Class will make that cabin air smell pleasant as well by using a fragrance system.
Screens dominate the interior; a central 14.4-inch MBUX Superscreen display stretches over to a 12.3-inch passenger screen. As part of the update, Mercedes-Benz promises a “personalized digital experience” with MBUX Zero Layer and a digital assistant for the centrally located Superscreen.

On the outside, Mercedes-Benz says the new S-Class comes in up to 150 exterior colors, again as part of the MANUFAKTUR Made to Measure individualization program. The automaker isn’t shy about the three-pointed star, either. The brand’s iconic logo adorns everything from the grille to the headlamps and taillamps.
If that wasn’t enough, Mullin pointed out that the Mercedes-Benz star on the hood is illuminated, depending on the regional market. Still, even with stars galore, the S-Class manages to be elegantly understated while maintaining a high standard of opulence.
