Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van Is Much Better with New Tech
Now in its third generation, the Sprinter offers more versatility and luxury than ever.
Attention business owners! It seems like just a few years ago that the innovative Sprinter was introduced to the U.S. market, but it is now on to its third generation as seen in this video by Mercedes-Benz. Sprinter’s overall shape stays mostly the same, owing to an already ingenious use of cargo space, but outside design elements bring it up to date and includes styling cues that mirror the rest of the Mercedes line.
You’ll be sure to find the Sprinter that fits your needs, with over 1,700 variants available. As usual, there’s the assortment of long and tall cargo vans, and people movers, along with the assortment of flat-bed versions as well. But furthermore, things are really improved in the interior with the introduction of Mercedes-Benz multimedia system MBUX.

MBUX features a large touch screen interface with integrated navigation, and Bluetooth connectivity for your calls and music. MBUX features can also be controlled through the new steering wheel, which features more buttons and steering wheel mounted controls than the out-going model.
When it comes to forward-thinking technology, EV vehicles are at the forefront. With the eSprinter, you get the benefits of an all-electric vehicle with a payload capacity that stands at an impressive 2,300 lbs. Payload is moved through an electric motor making 108 horsepower and 220 lb/ft of torque. For local deliveries, a range of 95 miles is acceptable, and through DC power, you’re back on the road with 85 percent batter life after just 45 minutes. If you choose a slower charger, you’ll fill up the available 41 or 55 kWh batteries during 6 to 8 hours of downtime.
After revolutionizing the van industry after its launch in North America, we cant wait to see more sprinter vans on the road.
