Mercedes Leaks New E-Class Ahead of Detroit Debut
Next week kicks off the Detroit Auto Show, and with that, this week, countless cars will leak out to the press because that’s what happens the week before an auto show. It’s just become a regular occurrence, and either manufacturers need to figure out how to keep a secret better, or just do away with all the auto show reveals and embrace the leaks.
Today’s leak is that of the new Mercedes E-Class. It is, in all respects, a baby S-Class, or a tarted up C-Class. The exterior is the same as both cars mentioned above, due to Mercedes’ new design language. It’s handsome, if a bit uninspired.
Inside, Everything looks super comfortable, and if Mercedes imbued the E-Class with the same amount of attention to detail as the S-Class (we especially love the S-Class’s infotainment center that swoops through the dash), this may be the most successful E-Class ever produced. From the pictures, it definitely looks plausible.
Now, let’s see what also leaks ahead of the Detroit show.
