Mercedes seems to be debuting goodies every other day lately, what with the all new AMG GT, the Maybach, the C63, and the S63 Coupe. But they’re not done yet! We’re gearing up for a whole new name change for the company’s SUV lineup, and now we’re hearing rumors that there will be another major debut very soon.

According to LeftLaneNews, the next up on Mercedes debut world tour will be the C-Class coupe.

The new car will ride on the same platform as the 2015 C-Class, yet it will be 4 inches shorter in overall length, and a few inches wider to compensate for the shorter wheelbase. It will also follow the same design language that the S Coupe, but offer that very sensual styling for a much lower cost.

As with the sedan version, the coupe is likely to get all the same powertrains, including the highly anticipated 4.0L twin-turbo V8 from the C63.

Mercedes is squarely aiming this new car straight at the likes of BMW’s M4 and Lexus’s RC F coupe. It’s a gamble that will very likely pay off, as this next AMG is set to be more refined and more powerful than ever before. With the shorter wheelbase, and wider track, this car is set to be a true performer.
