Photos of the Week: 2012 E63 AMG Wagon with RevoZport Carbon Body Kit
These Photos of the Week come courtesy of Bay-Area MBWorld forum member “isamubenz” who recently installed a RevoZport carbon fiber body kit on his 2012 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Wagon. This kit is very clean looking, and works well with the stock wheels. isamubenz would like to get new wheels, but we think this car looks fine as is.
Here’s what isamubenz has to say about his car:
“Hi all, sorry it’s been a while since I’ve posted. Attached are pics of my wagon with the full RevoZport carbon fiber body kit (front lip, side skirts, rear diffuser, roof spoiler). I don’t think there are many wagons out there with this kit, so I thought it would help folks to see it for real.
A few notes for those who are interested: The roof spoiler needs to be glued on, so it’s a commitment. The rear diffuser was a difficult fit. Ken at RevoZport was really good about addressing the issue, but just a heads-up, please PM me if you want more details. I was skeptical about the side skirts, but visually I ended up concluding that you really need them, or the lower corners of the front lip look like they stick way out there — I only had the front lip for a while. The side skirts are great … and you don’t rub your pants on them constantly.Other notes: Don Nguyen helped me vinyl this car on one of his NorCal trips. The rear taillights are smoked slightly (amazing difference though), the silver bar in between [the taillights] is blacked out, and the window trim is all blacked out (all matte instead of gloss). Side markers are white (eBay). Hood ornament is a flat AMG one (eBay). Windows are lightly tinted. Grille is a “Howell” unit from Jerry at ForMyMercedes.com.
