Spied: Mercedes-Benz SLC

There is so much we want to know about the 2016 Mercedes-Benz SLC. Unfortunately, right now our knowledge is balanced heavily on speculation; hard facts about the C190 project trickle to the media like fuel out of a clogged injector.

Here’s everything we know so far. In March of 2014 the SLS AMG is ending its production run. The SLC will be the SLS AMG’s lower-priced replacement.

Now for the speculation: when the SLC is unveiled, you may find a 485-horsepower 4.0L twin-turbo V8 under the hood. A more powerful variant would have the same engine tuned to 550 horsepower. It’s pure gossip at this point, but a Black Series model could stand atop the SLC lineup with 585 horsepower.
