Within the forested curves of Surrey, England’s Longcross, Top Gear‘s Stig swings the big AMG E 63 S Estate like a sledgehammer to a spike.

If there’s any wagon out there made to make trips to the grocery store or soccer practice fun, it’s the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S Estate. Sure, it’s got room for all sorts of things in the back. And yes, it’s quite a luxurious ride compared to the usual minivan at the school pick-up zone. However, the AMG speed wagon’s packing heat: a 603-horsepower, twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V8. With all that power going to the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system, there’s never a dull moment.

Thus, it’s only fitting Top Gear sends The Stig out for a Sunday drive in one. Of course, this won’t be any ordinary excursion through the woods.

Strolling into the Longcross Circuit in Surrey, England, The Stig unleashes the beast all over the black tarmac of the forested circuit. Rather than keep the wheels straight, though, he decides to drift the E 63 S through the turns of the two-mile test track. Definitely not your usual cozy drive.

Turn by turn, The Stig swings the mighty E 63 S like a sledgehammer to a railroad spike. All the while, the twin-turbo V8 roars louder than a grizzly bear, its backside ready to smash any unfortunate soul to get in the way. The left rear tire smokes like a chimney through the turns.

From above Longcross, the E 63 S gracefully slides through the turn like a figure skater. Down on the road, though, it barrels through like a winger on his way to scoring a goal. From the eyes of the chase drone, The Stig’s Drift 101 course is as epic as it looks. We can only imagine someone taking the wagon out to compete against the best drifters in the world, how wild it would be to see this brush past the concrete barriers.

Who would’ve thought the E 63 S Estate could drift like this? Of course, when there’s a tamed racing driver like The Stig to pilot the big AMG, all things are possible. Even something like this.
