The Mercedes Benz G-Class is one of the most off-road capable vehicles in the world, but just because it comes well-equipped from the factory, that doesn’t mean it’s “expedition-grade.”

We had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the “Sprinter Extreme Concept” at the Chicago Auto Show, or as I call it, the Jurassic Park Sprinter.

Just because G500 owners usually choose to go to yoga class instead of off-roading, it doesn’t mean this isn’t one very capable machine.

What you are about to watch is fantasy; not because it features pristine white and powdery slopes; not because it looks like the ideal getaway with friends. No, the video you are about to see is fantasy because it shows an SUV as expensive as the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG ($135,700+) actually being driven off-road! Gasp!
