Daimler head Dieter Zetsche revealed recently that one new model of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is set to compete with the Rolls-Royce Phantom. Zetsche made the revelation when he was interviewed by Autocar. He indicated that the new S-Class was developed to increase the reach of the company in the luxury car market.

As part of ongoing efforts to promote and showcase the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which just launched a few weeks ago, the Mercedes-Benz Museum is presenting a fresh exhibition about the vehicle and the history of the model series. The exhibit, dubbed ‘Mercedes-Benz S-Class–always ahead of its time’, will be held from June 18 through November 3, 2013.
