Sneaky Dealership Employee Takes Customer’s AMG S63 to Wendy’s!

By -

Is this S63 owner justified in being upset with the dealership?

This video comes to us from the YouTube channel of Daniel Sheikhan and it features dash cam footage of his Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG at a dealership in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Fortunately for us, the camera was rolling and catches some very interesting scenarios. Now, we don’t know why the car was at the dealership, but we get to virtually ride along as a tech and another employee from the shop go for a cruise to get “Frosty” ice cream treats at a local Wendy’s. Apparently, the tech and his buddy didn’t realize that they were being recorded, and they said and did quite a few interesting things during that trip. The owner alleges that the technician spilled chocolate ice cream in the cup holders and cracked a wheel during the questionably-inappropriate drive.

We warn you now that the language in this video is definitely NSFW.

The owner has added captions to the video of his S63 being serviced, and he takes issue with several things caught on video.

S63 at Wendys

First, the tech blasts the radio as he drives around the parking lot, occasionally giving the throttle a quick hit before taking it into the service bay. The car spends 11 minutes in the service area, so whatever work was being performed didn’t take long.

As the car backs away from the hoist, someone approaches the AMG S63 and asks the driver if he is going for ice cream. He is, so this other person climbs into the car to go along for the ride. As they drive through the service area, they take two more orders for ice cream.

As the pair head to Wendy’s, they badmouth one of the guys at the dealership who didn’t want to pay for his own ice cream, using a handful of colorful expletives to describe him.

While waiting for their Frostys, the tech receives a call from the dealership’s service manager, who explains that the parts for the repair are in the trunk. The tech tells the passenger that he didn’t read the service order, so he didn’t know to use the provided parts. The two then discuss how wealthy people are cheap and that was why the customer provided his own parts.

The next problem occurs as the tech comes back to the dealership, driving into the parking lot at about 30 miles an hour. The S63 owner alleges that coming in so hot cracked one of the wheels.

Finally, the video highlights the time taken to wipe down the car after it was washed.

The comments on his YouTube video are pretty mixed, with some people expressing outrage at the fact that the S63 had been used for an ice cream run while others insist that the owner is overreacting to a normal dealership road-test drive.

Do you think that anything in the video appears to be violent enough to crack one of the AMG wheels?

"Before I was old enough to walk, my dad was taking me to various types of racing events, from local drag racing to the Daytona 500," says Patrick Rall, a lifetime automotive expert, diehard Dodge fan, and respected auto journalist for over 10 years. "He owned a repair shop and had a variety of performance cars when I was young, but by the time I was 16, he was ready to build me my first drag car – a 1983 Dodge Mirada that ran low 12s. I spent 10 years traveling around the country, racing with my dad by my side. While we live in different areas of the country, my dad still drag races at 80 years old in the car that he built when I was 16 while I race other vehicles, including my 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and my 1972 Dodge Demon 340.

"Although I went to college for accounting, my time in my dad’s shop growing up allowed me the knowledge to spend time working as a mechanic before getting my accounting degree, at which point I worked in the office of a dealership group. While I was working in the accounting world, I continued racing and taking pictures of cars at the track. Over time, I began showing off those pictures online and that led to my writing.

"Ten years ago, I left the accounting world to become a full-time automotive writer and I am living proof that if you love what you do, you will never “work” a day in your life," adds Rall, who has clocked in time as an auto mechanic, longtime drag racer and now automotive journalist who contributes to nearly a dozen popular auto websites dedicated to fellow enthusiasts.

"I love covering the automotive industry and everything involved with the job. I was fortunate to turn my love of the automotive world into a hobby that led to an exciting career, with my past of working as a mechanic and as an accountant in the automotive world provides me with a unique perspective of the industry.

"My experience drag racing for more than 20 years coupled with a newfound interest in road racing over the past decade allows me to push performance cars to their limit, while my role as a horse stable manager gives me vast experience towing and hauling with all of the newest trucks on the market today.

"Being based on Detroit," says Rall, "I never miss the North American International Auto Show, the Woodward Dream Cruise and Roadkill Nights, along with spending plenty of time raising hell on Detroit's Woodward Avenue with the best muscle car crowd in the world.
