The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507 is recognizable by its 19-inch forged wheels and vented hood from the Black Series. An electronic limited top-speed of 176 mph and a sprint to 60 in under four seconds puts an exclamation point on its looks – the car is a wolf in wolf’s clothing. The car is beastly, and now, sadly, there is one less on the road.
MBWorld member Jordanaf has sent his 2014 C63 507 to the grave. A couple cars in front of him did last-second lane changes to avoid a truck stopped in the street who was making a right turn. Jordan wasn’t as lucky with his timing. He was unable to change lanes, presumably because the next lane was blocked, and he slammed into the stopped truck.
The height difference between the Benz’s bumper and the truck’s bumper caused Jordan’s car to get wedged under the bed of the truck, which damaged pricey engine and suspension components. Per Jordan, the estimate for the damage is $52,000. Needless to say, he is looking for another C63 AMG Edition 507 as a replacement. We’re just glad he’s okay.
