WIMMER RS presents Stage 3 C63 Perf Kit

German tuners just can’t keep from adding horses to their favorite client’s cars. For them, the more powerful your engine is, the happier you are and the happier they’ll be, sales aside. Today’s tuner under the limelight is WIIMMER RS, with their Level 3 Performance Kit for the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. (This model gets a lot of tuner attention, doesn’t it?) In a nutshell, the C63′s 6.3-liter V8 gets bumped up to 580hp and 690Nm torque, from its previous output of 457hp and 600Nm.

Sounds like a great deal of boost, ain’t it? It took a great deal of
planning and testing to add 120 horses to the C63′s already feisty
naturally aspirated V8. This includes upgrading the ECU program, a
K&N high-performance air filter, reworking the air induction design,
a sports exhaust catalyst and a stainless steel sports cat-back system.

Of course, WIMMER had to electronically limit the car’s speed at
305kmh or 190mph. They’re not exactly interested in dealing with the
legal ramifications just in case clients are unable to handle all the
power and then get themselves killed in the process. Still, 190mph is
tremendously fast, so we advice you not to attempt it–ever.

Optional add-ons include a KW-Club Sport Suspension system and
Dunlop’s high-performance Sport Maxx GT rubbers. If you’ve got them
cash, we suggest you avail these as well.
