MB Disco Party: The Mercedes SL (W107)

Often called the German Corvette, the W107 was Stuttgart’s replacement for the famous ‘Pagoda’ SL of the 60’s. Unlike its predecessor, the new SL was available with a V8 engine. And of course, buckets of snob appeal came as standard equipment.

In the 1970’s and 1980’s, the W107 Mercedes SL was the ultimate status symbol car. It appeared in countless movies and TV shows, and nearly every Hollywood star had one. Heck, Wonder Woman even drove a W107! And what’s more 70’s than sequined underwear?
