Can any of you guys advise where to get a lip / boot lid spoiler for the new CLS ,I have specked mine up with factory fit AMG Kit & 19" Alloys but unfortunately it doesnt come with the boot lid spoiler !

i thought when me and fazooley were at the dealer looking at a cls55 that the sales guy said the amg lip spoiler from the dealer was like $600 but i cant seem to recall 100%.

been researching this pretty hard. the following all make deck lids:

Brabus (3 pc.)
MKB (3pc.)
Lorinser
AMG
Carlsson

there are some others, as well as generics. i saw one generic that did not fit right, so beware! i like the Carlsson the least since it hangs down the back of the trunk. the Brabus is what i was going to go with, but after looking at my car with an AMG one on it, i decided (with the help of others) that the 3 peice detracts from the lines of the car. so ill probably go with the AMG one.

i have the shop that did the work on my car hunting now. i used to work with a place for parts on my last AMG, checking with them too. ill post some info once i get it. DONT buy from the dealer, they already got our $$$$$

IMO the best looking spoiler is still the Brabus one. I don't know why, but I just don't like the CLS55 version. We should do a poll on everyone's favorite.

i wanted to go brabus bad on the rear spoiler. while i was getting everything done yesterday, they had a spoiler for someone elses CLS, similar to AMG, so we laid it on (will post picts soon) and discussed. i had a shop filled with about 8 guys who own SL55s, CL55s, S600s +, and we all agreed that the thrid peice hanging on the rear took away from the sloping body line when looking at it from side profile. we spent about 40 minutes on this, in the end i agreed

yes...usually those are no problem and usually those are in stock
everything I offer for sale already has "group discount"...if I sell any cheaper it will cost me money...if it has to cost me money, I am better off spending it on my own car...

if i go with that style, i will stick with the AMG original. the replica was not as clean a fit. it was a little short, and the ends tapered the wrong way. i dont think theres enough savings to settle for a replica, especially on this caliber of car.

Mhhh Think I will also go for the AMG version , as it will go with the original factory fitted amg Body kit & alloys ! Problem here is that the UK dealer is wanting £750 / $1400 . Im probably going to sit on the fence here as I have got about three month's until the CLS arrives .
