190e
highway RPM's'
i just bought a 1990 190 e 2.6 . I got a killer deal on it only 58,000 orig miles and its in pristine shape . I mainly bought it to commute 35 miles freeway between Oceanside and san juan capistrano CA. If you know this stretch of Highway its High speed all the way , 80 seems to be the minimum .. I picked the car up and am a little alarmed at my RPM's at 80 mph. 3500 or so .. Is this right or am i not getting into 4 th gear ???

hey that seems right. i have the same car and at that speed even with 17's im at 3400-3500 at 80!!

w126 82 300SD / w201 93 190E 2.6
Around 3000 rpms, I sit at 70mph...I have 17" E430 rims. I believe your rpm-age is largely dependent on the gearing of the car.
