1993 190E 2.6
seems like you are turning your lights too far the left and leaving your side markers on killing your battery. Make sure the head light knob is straight up and down. You can click it to the left two more times to turn on either just the left lights, or just the right lights. If you are ever stranded on a road in the dark this will come in handy as it drains your battery half as fast and allows car (specifically the one coming to get you) to see you.

W201 190e 2.6
The light switch (or should I say - array) on the W201 is a real surpise packet. Vertical is off. One click to the left will give you parkers front and back on the RHS and two clicks will give you parkers on the LHS. IN Europe, fog is terrible and roads can be very narrow. So the germans decided in thie wisdom to allow the car to have a beacon like set up so people wouldnt run into it when parked. On the other side - to the right, the light knob works in two planes - rotational clicks to the right and the ability to pull it out a click to enable fog lights. Just play around with it to see what you have. Those germans were really **** about covering all the bases. The you have the thumb dial next to it which adjusts your lights aim up or down. Ahh those germans. Just dont try and replace a radiator in a 2.6 without spending all afternoon on it. Because you will be there all afternnon.
